How to Submit a DMCA Notice
Send a written notice to [email protected] containing all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — title, author, registration number, URL
- Identification of the infringing material — specific URL on storywarm.com, order/book ID, or screenshot
- Contact information — full name, mailing address, phone, email
- Statement of good faith belief — "I have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized"
- Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
- Physical or electronic signature
Our Response Process
- Receipt acknowledgment: Within 24 hours
- Initial review: Within 48 hours
- Takedown (if valid): Within 72 hours
- User notification: Within 72 hours
- Counter-notice window: 10-14 days
False claims may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Counter-Notice Procedure
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with:
- Identification of the removed material
- Statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
- Your contact information
- Consent to jurisdiction
- Physical or electronic signature
Repeat Infringer Policy
Per 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), we refuse further orders from repeat infringers. StoryWarm has no user accounts; after 3 valid takedowns within 12 months we decline new orders from the e-mail addresses and network addresses involved.
What StoryWarm Does to Prevent Infringement
- Model instructions and prompt filters: The story and illustration models are instructed never to reference Disney, Pixar, Marvel, DC, Studio Ghibli, Nintendo or other copyrighted characters, places or styles, and those names are listed as excluded content in every illustration request.
- Provider safety filters: Illustration requests run with the provider's built-in safety checker where the model supports it; flagged outputs are rejected and never delivered.
- Labelled as AI-generated: Every book states in its colophon that the text and illustrations are AI-generated.
- Notice-and-takedown: Valid notices to [email protected] lead to removal of the specific book files from our storage on the timeline above.
- User Terms: Explicitly prohibit copyrighted character requests.
We do not currently run automated image-similarity matching, content-provenance (C2PA) signing or a human review queue; we will update this page if that changes.
